What's included with the hardware purchase?
Every Starwise Observatory includes the motorized telescope, integrated camera, tripod, and access to the mobile and web app. The Explorer tier includes an optional software subscription; Pro and Classroom tiers include the subscription as part of the package.
Do I need a subscription to use the telescope?
The Explorer tier works without a subscription for basic observation. The optional $9.99/month subscription unlocks AI-enhanced imaging, cloud storage, and guided discovery features. Pro and Classroom subscriptions are required for their advanced capabilities.
What happens if I exceed my monthly image limit?
Additional AI-enhanced images are available at $0.05 per image beyond your monthly allocation. Basic unenhanced observations are always unlimited.
Can I add more student seats to the Classroom plan?
Yes. Additional student seats are $5 per seat per month after the initial 5 included seats, so you can scale to fit your class size.
Is there additional cloud storage available?
Additional cloud storage is available at $2 per 100 GB per month across all tiers.
What kind of support is included?
All tiers include access to our knowledge base and community forums. Pro customers receive priority email support, and Classroom customers receive dedicated educator support with onboarding assistance.
